Tax Filing
In the United States, clergy are employees for income tax purposes, but are self-employed for Social Security and Medicare tax purposes, and have dual status. Reporting clergy as employees or self-employed is not in compliance with IRS Publication 517. Trust Solomon Tax Accounting, who has specialized in clergy tax reporting for 15 years!
We also prepare tax returns for individual taxpayers and small businesses.
WE OFFER
Church Payroll
The IRS requires that W-2s be issued to staff, accompanists, conductors, teachers, Korean school teachers, and administrators who receive more than $400 in salary in a year. W-2s must also be issued to pastors who are both employees and self-employed for tax purposes. However, since the payroll method for pastors is different from that of ordinary people, churches should not pay their senior pastors or ordained ministers as ordinary employees. If you leave it to Solomon Tax Accounting , we will pay you according to IRS regulations!
We also help with payroll for small businesses.
TaxPlanning
The way pastors pay taxes is also different from the general public. While the general public pays taxes through Payroll Services, pastors basically have to pay income tax, social security tax, and Medicare tax every quarter through 1040 ES. Since pastors have to pay social security tax and Medicare tax as self-employed individuals, they have to pay 15.3% on their own. In order to reduce the financial burden due to taxes, you need to make a good financial plan. Solomon Tax Accounting can help you!
